Privacy Policy

Who We Are

This policy covers winterhurstplumbingservices.com, the website of Winterhurst Plumbing (“we”, “us”), a family-owned plumbing business in Lakewood, Ohio. It applies to information you give us through this website. When you call us or we visit your home, we use the same care with the details you share.

What We Collect

Information you type into a form

The service request form asks for your name and phone number and, if you choose, your email address, your street address, the service you need, how urgent it is, a preferred date and time of day, the type of property, where in the home the problem is and a description of what is going on. The shorter form on the home page asks for your name, phone number and, if you choose, your email address, the service you need and a short note. We receive only what you choose to enter.

Technical information sent with a form

When you send a form, the website also records the page you sent it from, your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string, the approximate country and city that our hosting provider works out from the IP address, and a request reference number. We use these to keep out spam and abuse and to trace a request that did not arrive. The forms also carry a hidden anti-spam field and a timestamp; neither identifies you.

Email and phone calls

If you email or call us, we receive your message or call details the ordinary way and keep them with your request.

What We Do Not Collect

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, tracking pixels, third-party scripts or social media plugins, and it does not build a profile of your visits. The site itself sets no cookies. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from automated attacks; it is not used for advertising or tracking. The interactive tools on this site (the clog severity checker, the water heater sizing guide and the ZIP code checker) run entirely in your browser and send nothing to us.

How We Use It

• To call, text or email you back about your request, ask questions and schedule a visit.
• To prepare a quote, do the work you ask for and keep a record of it.
• To keep the website and its forms secure and working.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not add you to mailing lists, and we do not use your information for advertising.

Who Processes It for Us

• Website hosting: Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and runs the form handler on its network, so form submissions pass through its systems.
• Lead management: form submissions are delivered to the customer-request system we use to receive, track and answer service requests. If a submission cannot be delivered right away, it is held in a secure queue and retried for up to 60 days, then deleted.
• Email: if you email us, or we email you, our email provider processes those messages.

These providers handle the information on our behalf to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a person or property.

How Long We Keep It

We keep request and job information for as long as we need it to respond, schedule and complete the work, keep a service history for your home and meet our legal and tax obligations. Technical information sent with a form is kept only as long as it is useful for security and troubleshooting. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, as described below.

Your Choices and Requests

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call (216) 238-6858 or email office@winterhurstplumbingservices.com. We may need to confirm who you are before acting on a request, and we may keep records the law requires us to keep, such as invoices.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use it for targeted advertising, and we do not give it to data brokers. You do not need to do anything to opt out. If you have questions about this, contact us by phone or email and we will answer them.

Security

The website is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to request information is limited to the people who need it to answer your request and do the work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send payment card numbers or passwords through the forms.

Children

This website is meant for adults arranging plumbing service. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes and Contact

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Questions about privacy can go to Winterhurst Plumbing, Lakewood, Ohio: phone (216) 238-6858, email office@winterhurstplumbingservices.com. See also our terms of use and accessibility statement.
